In this work, with deep bordeaux shades fading into lighter, powdery tones, André Navez reveals a dense and vibrant materiality.
The cement, blended with pigments, forms a textured surface where the light lingers gently, absorbed by the warmth and depth of the colour.
The texture, both powerful and delicate, evokes the strength of the earth and the quiet breath of silence.
On the aluminium Dibond, the artist’s gesture becomes instinctive, almost meditative: bordeaux turns into matter, presence, suspended time.
