What is an avatar? In this monotype, I questioned the essence of being. I sought to capture the ancestral wisdom whose traces I was able to trace through certain encounters and stories. This is a unique work, produced in drypoint and etching, with calligraphy in gold ink. With this inner landscape and a face that shines through in shades of payne gray, burnt sienna and green, I hope to convey beauty, gentleness and peace.
