This series, The Book of Dreams, is an invitation to travel through our dreams, in search of our lost memories, of all those ancient places, memories of humanity that still vibrate deep within us. This poem by Baudelaire often resonates with me: “Nature is a temple where living pillars sometimes let out confused words; Man passes through forests of symbols that watch him with familiar eyes”.
The use of watercolor combined with white gouache enables me to capture fleeting moments, to express inner landscapes with spontaneity.
In this work, I seek to capture the fluid essence of nature using watercolor and gouache, evoking the softness of Impressionism mixed with a touch of semi-abstraction. Paper becomes the receptacle of my emotions, inviting the viewer/dreamer to follow the river's course towards the tropical sweetness of life.
