Art brings color to the darkest days

My story, my background

Growing up in a country on the brink of war with limited resources shaped my early life with a sense of uncertainty and survival. While I always harbored a deep passion for painting, the realities of a developing country pushed me towards a more pragmatic path. I chose to study accounting, a field where I could find stable employment and build a livelihood. Though my career in accounting has been successful, I have always found refuge in the world of creativity, expressing my emotions on canvas.

My journey back to painting began in earnest after a profoundly difficult period marked by the loss of my grandmother. This personal tragedy reignited my passion for art, and I poured all my grief and love into a single painting. This process of channeling my emotions through art not only helped me cope with my loss, but also led me to embrace a new way of celebrating life. Since then, my work has focused on honoring the little joys and vibrant moments we encounter daily.

In my artistic process, I am drawn to systematic elements and methodical patterns, finding comfort in their predictability and structure. I employ a carefully planned approach, creating works that merge human emotions with a structured, grid-like style. This methodical practice allows me to balance the precision of my background with the expressive freedom of painting.

I seek to convey the richness of human experience, translating the colorful tapestry of our lives into organized compositions. Each piece is a celebration of life’s myriad emotions, a testament to the resilience of the human spirit, and a homage to the beauty found in everyday moments.

My work stands at the intersection of art and accounting, reflecting a journey from structured stability to creative liberation.

I currently live and work in Brussels, a place I am lucky to call home.
