Born in 1976, he studied art at the École nationale supérieure des arts visuels de La Cambre and the Académie des Beaux-Arts de Watermael-Boitsfort. After silkscreen printing and comic strips, he moved on to live models and monumental painting. Thomas De Decker's career has been full of ups and downs, from twists and turns to questioning, from impulse to desire to explore further a creative vein that is the changing reflection of an inner melody. This led to intense activity in the fields of comics, publishing and illustration, in a style that was resolutely realistic and already deeply rooted in reality, current affairs and personal and collective experience. An activity that is interrupted only to be reborn.
