Fathy Sidibé

"Life is too short to live only one"

Fathy Sidibé
My story, my background

The aesthetic approach of Fatoumata Fathy Sidibé is characterized by an inspiration drawn from the epic breath of the ancestors, the reference to various artistic currents, the work on the color and the forms. Her work is the symbol of my cultural mixing.

His painting, born from a self-taught apprenticeship, proposes an initiatory journey in the mysterious universe of masks and some emblematic faces. Her painting is a meeting of colors which marry according to the emotion of the moment, giving birth to myriads of bright and contrasted tonalities, declined in ochre, yellow, orange, red, blue, white, black.

To paint, she uses whatever she finds within reach: brush, knife, comb, tissue, finger, wood. Her painting is freedom.

Fatoumata Fathy Sidibé has been painting for about twenty years.  She has participated in several individual and collective exhibitions but it is only recently that she decided to offer her paintings for sale.
