Characteristics
To make this glass piece I have combined 3 different techniques : the glass beads that appear in the suclpture have been made one by one on the torch beforehand (so called flamework). The finished piece has been cast with hot glass in a sand mould (so called sand casting).
The engraving (battuto) has been done by master engraver Matteo Seguso (Murano, Venice, IT)
Glass piece is 24 x 32cm. Total height of the sculpture is 158cm
Care and use
This sculpture can stay outside in all weather conditions, nevertheless be cautious not to pour cold water on it when it has been in the sun, in order to avoid thermal schock.
It can be cleaned with water and dishwashing liquid.
