Full moon nights on the banks of the Yamuna River (1)

In this series “Myths, legends and stories”, I drew my inspiration from stories and legends, mythology and its gods, the history of ancient civilizations, trying to capture on canvas, in order to make them more real, the memories, the impressions that awaken in us, the images that rise up when we evoke or hear these stories.

In this work, I explored the mystical interaction of moonlight with water, and the poetry of autumn full-moon nights, using oils and oil pastels to create rich, dreamlike textures. Semi-abstraction allows me to blur the boundaries between the real and the imagined, inviting the observer on an introspective journey. Each stroke is a quest into the unknown, reflecting the deep poetry and apparent tranquility of the night scene.
